WHAT IS THIS SESSION ALL ABOUT?
My sessions are contemporary portrait session focusing on your beauty. We will make a specific plan during your consultation, but the goal of these sessions (both glamour and boudoir) are to make you look and feel amazing, beautiful, and confident.  If you want hear more about why I started these sessions, click here.

WHO SHOULD BOOK A SESSION?
YOU! But in all seriousness, anyone can have a reason to celebrate yourself.  Whether you’re going through a large transition in life, want to surprise your significant other, or just want to treat yourself, our sessions are for you.

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I BOOK?
As soon as you’re thinking about a session, contact me! It’s best to call at least two months in advance to allow for scheduling your session, printing, and to receive your products in time for any special occasions.  We’ve been known to make things happen if you have a tighter deadline!

DO YOU INCLUDE HAIR AND MAKEUP?
Yes! I work with awesome hair and makeup artists, and all of our glamour sessions include professional hair and makeup within the session fee. I only use makeup artists that I know and love, to ensure your beauty translates perfectly in camera.

HOW LONG IS THE SESSION?
We can customize your experience for you!  Please set aside three hours for your session, inclusive of hair and makeup.

WHERE DO YOU SHOOT?
All of our sessions are done in my private studio, located in downtown Beverly, Massachusetts.  I do love to travel, so get in touch if you want to chat about a session on location!

CAN I BRING A FRIEND?
This is a tricky one!  Glamour sessions are a great way to pamper yourself and  your best friend, sister, or mom. We also can accommodate parties for birthdays, bachelorette parties, or even just a fun girls get-together.  However, this is not the time you want to have your overly honest or nit-picking friend along for the ride.  You want to feel confident and beautiful, and I will ask anyone who might be killing that for you to step out of our shooting space.  For boudoir sessions, we ask that while we shoot, it’s just me and you, however having a friend/cheerleader is always welcome during hair and makeup if you need it!

I’M SO PALE!  SHOULD I TAN FIRST?
We of course want you to feel confident, but I recommend avoiding spray tans or tanning.  Photoshop does nothing for tan lines, so unless that’s the look you’re going for, skip the sun before your session.  Spray tans can lead to unnatural skin tones and telling signs around your hands and elbows – it’s best to wear colors that compliment your natural skin tone to make you feel great (don’t worry, we’ll help you with that)!

WHAT DO I WEAR?
Not to worry! At our consultation, we’ll talk about pieces that will accentuate your most gorgeous features, without having to purchase an entire new wardrobe.  For all sessions, you’ll have full access to our studio closet, provided that you wear a nude thong (or Shibue strapless panty) under any of our lingerie pieces.

For boudoir sessions, you do not need to bring an entire lingerie closet!  Boyfriend t shirts, cheeky panties, and soft sweaters always photograph well, along with bra and panty sets and bodysuits.  Of course, you can always go au naturale and not wear anything at all.

For glamour sessions, I suggest bringing something like a gorgeous dress, feminine tops/dresses, corset, and nude/black/white bras and tank tops (for any pieces that I have that you may need them with).

Be sure to bring accessories! Bracelets, rings, necklaces, head pieces, earrings, shoes, etc.

HOW DO I PREPARE FOR MY SESSION?
I suggest getting a manicure because your hands will most likely show. I recommend shaving the evening before your session, or if you’re planning to wax, please schedule your appointment 2-3 days before to ensure that there is no redness. Please moisturize after your shower to make sure that your skin is smooth. Please arrive with clean dry hair and a fresh face.  Don’t forget to schedule a fun night out on the town after your session!

I’M SUPER ANXIOUS BEFORE MY SESSION, WHAT DO I DO?!?
First, don’t panic!  Call me, email me, text me, and I’ll remind you of what an awesome experience this will be!  It’s totally normal to be nervous before being photographed, especially if we’ve styled your session on the more sultry side.  I’ve been there, I’ve had the same pit in my stomach, and I can calm your fears.  By the end of your session (or really not that far into it), all of that anxiety will melt away, and you’ll feel amazing.

I WILL BOOK WHEN I LOSE X POUNDS…
Cut it out.  Seriously.  You are beautiful right now, and deserve to see it.  I photograph women of all ages and shapes, and EVERYONE has the same thought process.  You are NOT the one woman I can’t photograph.  I promise.

THIS ALL SOUNDS SO AWESOME, HOW DO I BOOK?
Great!  Our contemporary portrait sessions begin at $450, and include your styling consultation, hair and makeup, 2 hour session, and private viewing/ordering session. I look forward to working with you!  Contact us here to book your session, and I’ll be in touch.
