Every so often, a client comes into the studio, and I immediately want to be their friend (ok, truth be told, this happens a LOT).  Miss L is one of those clients.  This was one of those sessions where both of us lost our breath on more than one occasion because we couldn’t stop laughing. She was so afraid of looking awkward because she has such a bubbly personality, and I love that it came through in her gallery.  

From Miss L:

“I’m a Respiratory Therapist, but specialize in Neonates and Pediatrics. I wanted to gift my future husband a boudoir photoshoot, but I learned in the process it really was for me. It was for me to see myself the way other people see me. It was about me learning self love for me. I needed to learn how to let go and accept.

I had some many fears and nerves about my experience, but talking with Caroline, I felt like I was in the studio with my friends sharing life experiences and talking about random things to get my mind off my nerves and fears. I was really insecure about my hair and the team did such an amazing job hiding my breakage and making me feel confident. Caroline knew to focus on that insecurity during our photos and she always made sure my hair looked its very best in the photos.

I chose a session with Caroline because her personality. I knew she was a woman who understood someone’s insecurities, someone’s fears and nerves of not looking their best in front of a camera, and someone who isn’t afraid to remind you that you are a QUEEN even when you aren’t feeling like it. Caroline succeeds in making you feel like you’re comfortable in front of the camera. You can tell in every clients photo that she cultivates a safe space for confidence and let who you really are, OUT!

I was extremely nervous before my session. I wanted to reschedule, I wanted to run, I wanted to cancel the moment I left my house. Throughout the session, I really started to get comfortable and posing didn’t feel so fake anymore. Photos with Caroline almost felt so natural. I accepted the compliments and the let go of my insecurities so that I could enjoy the moment. I was coming out of my shell and it felt like I was just talking with my friend taking my photos.

It was beyond my expectations. All I can say is, trust Caroline, she knows what she’s doing and she knows how to capture true beauty. Body scapes were my favorite part of my experience. This is where I felt like I let go and despite my insecurities and how I felt some confidence and saw me in a different light.

I was speechless seeing my images. WOW. I know that sounds cliche, but truly felt WOW for the first time. I remembering saying “holy crap, I can’t believe this is me or that I’m going to say this, but I am HOT!”

I walk around now with more confidence. I have more self love. I see me in a different light that gives me hope for my self love journey.”
